Where can I buy Poplar Cove Provisions? +
We show up at markets, events, and pop-ups across Western North Carolina. Where and when changes by the week. Check the This Week page for our current schedule and what we are bringing.
What do you usually bring to market? +
Our core line includes Cove Creek Smoked Trout Crème, two varieties of hand-crimped fruit pies, and Poplar Cove Living Sprouts. What is available on any given week depends on the season. Check This Week before you come.
What is The Poplar Cove Picnic? +
A bundle — one dip, one pie, and one box of sprouts for $25. It is the easiest way to take a full market meal with you.
Do you offer special orders or pre-orders? +
If you have a specific request or want to know whether we can set something aside, reach out ahead of time and we will do our best.
How should I store the Trout Crème? +
Keep refrigerated. Best within 5 days of purchase. The jar is sealed at the co-op kitchen on Friday and sold Saturday — it is as fresh as it gets.
How do I reheat the pies? +
350°F for 4 to 5 minutes. The crust will crisp back up. They are also good at room temperature.
How should I store the Living Sprouts? +
Keep refrigerated. They are a living product — use within 3 to 5 days. Rinse before eating.
Do the products contain common allergens? +
The Trout Crème contains fish (trout), milk, and soy. The hand pies contain wheat and milk. The Living Sprouts contain no common allergens. If you have specific allergy concerns, ask us at the market or reach out before you come.
